About Me

Hi, I'm Sarah! ♡

I'm the artist and designer behind "SAJU", a word I came up by combining "sake" + "soju", hence my little sake bottle logo. I've always loved the culture behind sharing a drink and connecting with others, so I wanted a name that reflected that feeling of togetherness.

I was born in the 90s (peak anime era!) and graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York City. My current favorite hobby is riding motorcycles, a hobby that I picked up from my dad, who coincidentally, I also got my art abilities from. 

I was lucky to grow up in a time where digital art was first introduced, so I started drawing at 10 years old on MS Paint with a mouse. (My grandma bought me my very first tablet at age 13. :') ) Here are some of my earlier works from when I was 10 years old until 26.

Throughout the years, I went from illustrating prints, to trying my hand at designing apparel, to now focusing mostly on enamel pin designs and stickers. I'm especially fond of designing pins and turning them into little artworks you can take around with you. I value high quality and a customer's happiness/satisfaction above all else, so I really hope you like my products!

Besides drawing, I also run the business side of things, manage customer emails, work at conventions and handle all logistics, so it takes me a bit longer to come out with new designs. But I try to share all new designs on Instagram at @saju.studios, which you can follow for discounts and upcoming releases!
